Where do I believe absolute truth "came" from? I don't have such a belief of origin; logic is necessary and arches over all possible worlds. I believe logic transcends reality because the alternative is literally inconceivable to me.

If you think the answer to the question is "God," then the following grade-school question applies: Can God create a rock so big he cannot lift it? God cannot do something that is logically impossible, so God must obey logic, and thus logic is not his creation.

Answering "why" we should do anything requires a mind, desire, and will; not metaphysical reason. As for the alleged lack of scientific account for "abstract universal meaning," I respond that modern science is successfully, if slowly, probing the so-called "stuff of thought."

There's so much to say but here's what I would say for now:

Firstly, how do you know? How can you support the claim that there are other avenues to truth than rationality?

1. You're first assuming there is truth, thus absolutes, in assuming that rationality can be trusted. So where do you believe these absolutes come from? Have they eternally existed or where they created?

2. Not all things can be proven forensically, hence with the scientific method. Answering "why" we should do science can't be proven scientifically! It's a metaphysical reason. Further, the abstract universal meaning required to think, thus observe, thus do science are not accounted for scientifically.
